RMFL - Volunteer Record Checks
As a non-profit organization providing programs for youth in our community, it is the policy of Richmond Minor Football League to ensure all coaches and council members have an annual Criminal Record Check completed. The three methods to obtain a criminal record check clearance is provided below.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact RMFL President or Secretary.
Option 1 - ELECTRONIC ONLINE:
Fill in the application at https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/home.htm and utilizing Richmond Raiders access code: PR4TDDRNPG
It is recommended to use a laptop or computer because mobile devices sometimes doesn’t work well for the system.
Your ID will be verified thru an Electronic Verification System which will require the following info:
You must have a minimum Canadian credit history of at least six months.
You must have been residing in Canada for two years or longer.
You must correctly answer a set of security questions unique to their personal credit history.
You must have a current Canadian address.
Option 2 – PAPER FORM:
Download and fill in the application form using this link. DOWNLOAD HERE
Provide a printout copy of the completed form to David Silva (RMFL Secretary). Two pieces of ID will need to be shown (one photo ID like driver’s license/passport, and one other like credit card, bank card, etc).
RMFL will then submit the completed form. *** applicants can not submit their forms to the Ministry directly
Option 3 - IN-PERSON AT RCMP DETACHMENT
This option requires the applicant to personally visit an RCMP detachment and directly request a Criminal Record Check for volunteering in youth sports. We can provide an RMFL letter requesting that they waive the fees for the check. It is then the applicant’s responsibility to provide RMFL with the final clearance letter.
